This Week in AC Athletics, 2/13 - 2/19

Happy belated Valentine’s Day, #RooNation.  Hopefully you all had an opportunity to give someone flowers, chocolate, or just tell them how much they mean to you.  We in in Austin College Athletics would like to let you know how much your support means to us throughout all of our seasons.

And with Spring Sports in full swing, we can’t tell you how much your support meant to us last weekend, and how much it will continue to help push our Teams towards they goals at the end of the season.

We have plenty of results to recap, and several future competitions to preview…This is your AC Athletics Update!

Men’s and Women’s Swimming & Diving

The Swimming & Diving Teams broke records and placed fifth in the 2017 SCAC Swimming & Diving Championships this past week in Lewisville, TX.

Colin Vu set records in the 50-freestyle and 100-butterfly, Chris Brown set records of his own in the 200-individual medley and 100-backstroke (TWICE), Tyler Brown broke the 100-breaststroke record, and the 400-medley relay team set a new program record at 3:35.61.

Sophie Garriga broke records in the 400-individual medley and 200-butterfly, with Bailey Clark taking 8th in the 200-breaststroke finals.

Great season, AC and way to finish strong in your finale.  We look forward to seeing you hit the pool again this fall.
