Headrick Named SCAC Football Special Teams Player of the Week
Austin College sophomore defensive back Colter Headrick has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Special Teams Player of the Week, the league office has announced.
Austin College sophomore defensive back Colter Headrick has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Special Teams Player of the Week for games played Saturday, October 13, the league office has announced.
Headrick, a native of Guymon, Oklahoma made the play of the game to preserve a 24-23 victory over visiting Wayland Baptist University on Saturday, blocking a 44 yard field goal attempt as time expired in the game. He also chipped in with an assisted tackle from his defensive back position.
This is the second week in a row and third overall that the 'Roos have had a player named the SCAC Special Teams Player of the Week.
Austin College athletic teams participate as a member of the NCAA Division III and the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference.
