Lauren Wheeler, Swimming

Lauren Wheeler, a junior from Southlake, had an outstanding day at the Austin College swimming and diving team's first home meet of the season against McMurry on December 6.

Wheeler, who owns or is a part of seven Austin College women's swimming records, led the 'Roos with a first place finish in the 50 freestyle, coming in with a time of 26.05. Wheeler also finished second in the 100 yard butterfly, finishing with a time of 1:05.83, and she added a third place finish in the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 1:05.52.

Wheeler has been an All-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference performer in each of her first two seasons and will be looking to make it three years in a row, and last year became the first Austin College swimmer to ever have multiple All-SCAC finishes in program history, when she qualified as an All-Conference performer in two events.
