Tori Herrera, Softball

Tori Herrera, a junior pitcher on the Austin College softball team, tossed just the second no-hitter in program history on Saturday in a 14-0 win over Rust College. Herrera went the distance and allowed just two runners - one via walk, and one hit by pitch - in the game.

Herrera, who already holds the Austin College career strikeout record, whiffed 12 batters in 5.0 innings of work. For the season, the Houston native is 2-0 in four appearances and also has one save. She's also got 24 strikeouts in just 13.2 innings of work, and boasts a 3.59 earned-run-average.

For her career, the All-Conference pitcher has 18 victories - currently four shy of matching the career record at Austin College - and 218 strikeouts in 49 appearances.
