Ann Savage led the 'Roo women's basketball team to a 3-1 record over the holiday break.
Ann Savage, a sophomore guard from Tulsa, Oklahoma, had some huge performances for Austin College as the 'Roo women's basketball team went 3-1 in its four games over the holiday break.
Savage scored 20 points, hitting 6-of-9 three pointers, in a 71-68 road victory at No. 25-ranked Texas-Tyler, and wrapped up the week with another 20 point performance in a come-from-behind win over Hardin-Simmons. Savage knocked down 4-of-5 three pointers in the game, dishing out a career-best eight assists in the win.
The 'Roos are off to a 9-3 start this season, the best start for the program since the 2009-10 season, and have won six of their last seven. Overall this year, Savage is averaging 9.3 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.5 assists-per-game and ranks second in the SCAC with a three point percentage of .473 on the year. Savage's numbers took a big jump in December, when she averaged 12.9 points and shot 52.4% from long range in seven games.
