Charles Eneh made 12 tackles as the 'Roo football team topped Howard Payne.
Charles Eneh, a senior linebacker from Krum, had a big performance for the Austin College football team as the 'Roos earned their first victory of the season on Saturday. The 'Roos topped Howard Payne 19-17 to improve to 1-1 overall on the year.
Eneh made 12 tackles to lead the Austin College defense, giving him 20 tackles on the year. With his average of 10.0 tackles-per-game so far, Eneh is currently ranked fourth in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference in that category. Five of Eneh's tackles were solo stops, as Austin College held off a late comeback attempt by the Yellow Jackets in Jerry Apple Stadium. His five solo tackles were a team-high in the victory.
In a season-opening loss to Hendrix, Eneh finished tied for the team lead with eight tackles, including 1.0 tackles-for-loss.
