Morris Shell, Football

Morris Shell, a junior on the Austin College football team, had an outstanding performance in the team's first game of the season. Recording 12 tackles, including 1.5 sacks, Shell helped lead the 'Roos to a 31-18 victory on the road at Bacone College.

Shell, a linebacker from Irving, had six solo stops and six assisted tackles, with 3.0 tackles-for-loss for a total of seven lost yards. Shell was all over the field in the victory, breaking up two passes in the game as well. Last season, Shell finished seventh on the team with 43 tackles.
