Austin College Places 28 on SCAC Spring Academic Honor Roll

The Austin College baseball, softball, and tennis teams combined to place 28 student-athletes on the SCAC Academic Honor Roll for the spring semester, the league office has announced. That brings Austin College's total for the year to 125 student-athletes earning Academic Honor Roll status.

The SCAC Academic Honor Roll recognizes student-athletes who post a grade-point-average of 3.25 or better during the semester in which they compete.

From baseball, Trevor Anderson, Harrison Baldwin, Scott Gelbart, Collin Maynard, RJ Melton, Mychael Parish, Landry Williamson, Angelo Winings, and Lamonte Wyche III were all Academic Honor Roll members.

Softball players Chelsea Easley, Delaney England, Kierra Gaither, Tori Herrera, Emily Low, Felicia Rivera, and Raquel Vara were also selected to the Academic Honor Roll.

Men's tennis players Cedric Ambulo, Jonathan Asher, Zach Bomar, Preston Glasscock, Kenneth Hardy, Jeff Kubena, Jacob Morgan, Daniel Oxenreiter, and Akshay Shetty were also honorees.

Finally, women's tennis players Carlye Lide, Kirsten Weber, and Meghan White round out this year's SCAC Academic Honor Roll members from Austin College.

The 'Roos placed 57 student-athletes on the fall Academic Honor Roll, along with 40 student-athletes in the winter.
