Legends Weekend 2016 is quickly approaching, and we hope you'll be able to join us in Sherman as we celebrate some of our outstanding alumni! The event runs from Friday, July 8 through Sunday, July 10.
Registration is open for Legends Weekend, where Mark Burtner, Tresy Ross Capelle, Kenneth Hillyard, John Leonard, Keith Powell, Chris Sanders, and John Womack will be inducted into the Kangaroo Athletics Hall of Honor. David Norman will also receive the Coach Joe Spencer Award for Meritorious Service and Lifetime Achievement in Coaching, and the Kedric Couch Coach of the Year Award will be given to both Kirk Thor and Ross Reedy.
On July 8, we will be hosting the 'Roo Reception in the Pouch Club at the Wright Campus Center from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., and on July 9 we will hold the Legends Gala in the Sid Richardson Center inside the Mason Complex. The weekend will culminate in the 34th Annual Slats McCord Golf Tournament at Stone Creek Country Club on July 10, beginning at 8:30 a.m.
