39 'Roos Earn SCAC Academic Honor Roll Recognition

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference has released its Fall Academic Honor Roll, and 39 members of the Austin College fall sports teams are among those who earned recognition for their outstanding performance in the classroom.

Members of the men's and women's soccer, men's and women's cross country, and volleyball teams were honored for their academic success by the conference office. Johnny Biffar and Andrew Thomas represented men's cross country, while Tori Dodd and Becca Tobias earned distinction among women's cross country performers. Men's soccer placed 12 student-athletes on the Academic Honor Roll, including Noel Carrasco, Cesar Escobar, Johnathan Gonzalez, Nick Kazanas, Jean Marie Luundo, Juan Rodriguez, Colin Saum, Xander Spurlock, Kyle Stephens, Jacob Tekle, Connor Tullis, and Isaiah Wingeier-Rayo.

The women's soccer team had 13 members recognized for their academic success, including Mack Bolen, Abbie Bullard, Lina Cruz, Hallie Dickerson, Taylor Dornseifer, Maya Erwin, Bayleigh Green, Meredith Harris, Mac Kersey, Leslie Lehman, Shelby Smith, Maegan Tutt, and Madison Wilson. Rounding out the 'Roos to be named to the Academic Honor Roll were 10 members of the Austin College volleyball team, including Kynleigh Browne, Shelbi Cook, Karson Dykes, Caitlin Mahoney, Allison Pierce, Mari Prazak, Gloria Pulido, Christine Royalty, Brooklyn Talley, and Abigail Teicher.
