'Roo Athletics Announces Hall of Honor Class of 2020

SHERMAN, Texas – The Austin College athletics department, in conjunction with the Athletics A-Board, has announced this year's nine inductees into the Kangaroo Athletics Hall of Honor, as well as this year's Coach Joe Spencer Award for Meritorious Service and Lifetime Achievement in Coaching recipient.

SHERMAN, Texas – The Austin College athletics department, in conjunction with the Athletics A-Board, has announced this year's six inductees into the Kangaroo Athletics Hall of Honor, as well as this year's Coach Joe Spencer Award for Meritorious Service and Lifetime Achievement in Coaching recipient.

Among this year's honorees are:

  • Stephen Carpenter '07 (Men's Soccer)
  • Stefanie Faith '11 (Softball)
  • Becca Harpham May '07 (Volleyball)
  • Danny Gilstrap (Track & Field / Honorary Member)
  • Greg Larson '85 (Football)
  • Ryan Nicholson '95 (Baseball, Football, Track & Field)

In addition to this year's Athletic Hall of Honor inductees, Austin College will also honor Bart Tatum '91 as this year's Spencer Award winner after a long and illustrious career as a football coach both at the collegiate and high school levels. 

This year's honorees, as well as the Kedric Couch Alumni Coach of the Year recipients, will be recognized at Legends Weekend, which this year takes place August 7-9.
