Senior baseball player Aneurin Minson, who serves as the co-president of the SAAC alongside senior women's soccer player Mack Bolen, has been working to partner with both the Austin College Young Republicans and Austin College Democrats to create a bipartisan effort to raise school-wide voter participation this fall.
"As members of the SAAC, we recognize we have a platform to make a difference," said Minson. "We want to make sure that we do our part and lead by example. We take our civic duty very seriously, and are looking to challenge our teammates to register and participate in the democratic process."
Student-athletes are encouraged to register, if they have not already done so, using TurboVote. Once registered, student-athletes should fill out this Google Form indicating they have completed their voter registration.
