This Week in 'Roo Athletics

The 2021 spring athletics season will be drawing to a close this weekend for Austin College, with just men's and women's tennis and baseball continuing to compete as they bring their seasons to a close.

The Austin College men's and women's tennis teams are headed to San Antonio to compete in the 2021 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship Tournament this weekend, with competition set to begin on Friday. The men's team gets into action first, taking on the University of St. Thomas in an opening round match at 9:00 a.m., while the women will square off against Schreiner University at 2:00 p.m. Details about this weekend's tournament, including the full bracket, can be found on the SCAC Championship website.

The 'Roo baseball team is home this weekend against the University of Dallas, as Austin College hosts the Crusaders for a three game series. The teams are currently slated to play a doubleheader on Saturday at Baker Field, with first pitch of game one scheduled for 1:00 p.m. The second game will follow approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of game one, with the 'Roos also celebrating Senior Day prior to the start of the twinbill. The 'Roos will then close out the season with a single game on Sunday, with game time set for noon. 

As a reminder, no off-campus fans will be allowed in attendance for this weekend's home games.
