Strickland Named Modern Woodmen Student-Athlete of the Week

SHERMAN, Texas - Austin College Athletics is excited to announce the Modern Woodmen of America Student-Athlete of the Week, an award highlighting our great student-athletes on and off the field of play each week. This week's honoree is 'Roo men's basketball player Roman Strickland.

Strickland, a senior wing player from Murphy, filled the stat sheet in the team's lone game against Howard Payne over the weekend. Strickland knocked down 3-of-5 three pointers on his way to 17 points, adding 14 rebounds, five rebounds, three steals, and a block as the 'Roos defeated HPU 95-71. For the year, Strickland ranks among the conference leaders in scoring, rebounding, and steals.
