This Week in 'Roo Athletics

It's a busy weekend on the road for Austin College athletics, with the 'Roo swim teams in action at the SCAC Championships while the men's and women's basketball, tennis, and softball teams will also venture out of Sherman for games on Friday and Saturday.

The Austin College swim teams are heading to Garland for the conference championship meet hosted at the Garland ISD Natatorium, with the event beginning on Wednesday evening. The championship meet lasts throughout the rest of the week, with the 'Roos in action on Thursday, Friday, and wrapping things up on Saturday.

The men's and women's basketball teams head southwest for the weekend, beginning with games at Schreiner University on Friday evening. The women hit the court first at 5:30 p.m., with the men following at 7:30 p.m. Both teams will then head to Trinity on Saturday, where the women will face the Tigers at 4:00 p.m. with a 6:00 p.m. tipoff for the men.

Austin College tennis will be heading in the same direction as the 'Roo hoops teams as well, traveling to Georgetown on Friday to take on Southwestern University at 5:00 p.m., before wrapping up their weekend at Howard Payne on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.

Finally, the Austin College softball team kicks off its season on Friday and Saturday in Jackson, Miss., where they'll be taking on Millsaps in a pair of doubleheaders. First up is a pair of games starting at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, and then another doubleheader against the Majors at noon on Saturday.
