This Week in Kangaroo Athletics

It's another busy weekend for Austin College athletics as the 'Roos continue toward the end of the 2023 spring season, with the softball, baseball, and women's water polo teams all in action both at home and on the road.

The action gets started on Wednesday night as the 'Roo softball team hosts UT-Dallas for a doubleheader at 5:30 p.m. at Old Settlers Park, and then the 'Roos get back into SCAC play on Friday and Saturday as they welcome Southwestern to town for a three game series. First up is a 6:00 p.m. game on Friday, followed by a doubleheader with the Pirates starting at noon on Saturday. The 'Roos will be celebrating Senior Day on Saturday, with recognition taking place between games.

The Austin College women's water polo team, currently ranked No. 7 in Division III, heads to St. Paul, Minn., this weekend to compete in the CWPA Division III Championships starting on Friday and continuing throughout the weekend. First up is a game against Grove City at 2:40 p.m. on Friday, with game times and opponents to be determined as the tournament progresses.

Finally, the 'Roo baseball team opens up a five day home stand starting on Friday, as the 'Roos take on St. Thomas at 7:00 p.m., followed by a doubleheader starting at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Next up is a 3:00 p.m. game against Southwestern on Sunday, and then a 6:00 p.m. game against the Pirates on Monday. Finally, the 'Roos wrap up their big weekend on Tuesday with a 6:00 p.m. game against Arlington Baptist.
