This Week in 'Roo Athletics

The 'Roos are on the road this weekend, as the winter sports season heads into its final stretch over the next month. The Austin College swim and basketball teams will all be in action in Shreveport, with the 'Roo hoops teams also adding a trip to Houston to wrap up the weekend.

The Austin College men's and women's basketball teams get things started on Friday evening when they travel to Louisiana to take on Centenary College in a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference doubleheader. The men will take the court first with tip-time set for 5:30 p.m., followed by the women's game at 7:30 p.m.

They won't be the only 'Roos on the campus of Centenary this weekend, as the men's and women's swim teams will also be taking on the Ladies and Gents in the final regular season meet of the 2023-24 campaign. That swim meet is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday afternoon, serving as the final warmup to the SCAC Championships in early February.

Finally, the 'Roo hoops teams will head to Houston on Sunday to square off against the University of St. Thomas in another set of SCAC games. Once again, the men will hit the hardwood first at noon, with the women scheduled to take on the Celts at 2:30 p.m.
