This Week in 'Roo Athletics

The spring season officially begins this weekend, and the Austin College hoops teams continue to jockey for position in the SCAC Tournament with a pair of conference doubleheaders.

The 'Roo men's hoops team kicks everything off on Friday, as they play host to Texas Lutheran University with tipoff set for 6:00 p.m. The Austin College women will follow at 8:00 p.m. against the Bulldogs. Both teams return to the court on Saturday for another pair of SCAC games, taking on Southwestern University in Hughey Gym. The men take the court first, tipping off at 4:00 p.m., and the women square off against the Pirates at 6:00 p.m.

The Austin College men's tennis team opens its seasons this weekend as well, taking on NCAA Division II foe Southeastern Oklahoma. The men head up the road to Durant to take on Southeastern at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Finally, the 'Roo women's water polo team will be in the pool for the first time this season as they travel to New England, taking on Salem and Brown University in Providence, R.I., on Saturday at noon and 6:00 p.m. Eastern, respectively, before heading north to Boston to face Siena and La Salle on Sunday at 8:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Eastern.
