This Week in Kangaroo Athletics

It's Homecoming Weekend at Austin College, and in addition to the 'Roo football team closing out the season in Apple Stadium, the volleyball team will host the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament, while men's and women's basketball head to Arkansas.

The SCAC Tournament gets underway on Friday morning, with the 'Roos taking on Texas Lutheran in the first match of the championship at 10:30 a.m. in Hughey Gym. Another quarterfinal match will take place at 1:00 p.m. followed by the two semifinals at 4:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Saturday, the conference title match will begin at 3:00p.m. in Hughey Gym.

The 'Roo football team wraps up its 2024 campaign on Saturday, taking the field against visiting Lyon College at 1:00 p.m. The 'Roos will also be celebrating Senior Day for both the cheer team and the football program, with those recognitions scheduled to start at 12:40 p.m.

The Austin College women's basketball team opens up its 2024-25 season this weekend with a pair of games in Arkansas, first with a Friday evening game at Hendrix College at 6:00 p.m., followed by a trip to Lyon for a game currently scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m.

The men's basketball team will also be taking on Lyon on Saturday in their second straight road game of the season. They'll follow the women's game at approximately 3:00 p.m.
