This Week in Kangaroo Athletics

Winter sports are back in full-swing for Austin College following Thanksgiving break, with the men's and women's basketball teams each playing twice while the men's and women's swim teams will be at home to host a home meet on Saturday afternoon.

Both basketball teams are on the road on Friday, with the women heading out of town to compete at Howard Payne, who the 'Roos defeated 73-68 in the final week of November. The rematch will take place at 5:30 p.m. on Friday evening, and then the women head to nationally-ranked Hardin-Simmons on Saturday for a game scheduled to tip off at 4:00 p.m.

The men's team, meanwhile, will play its first Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference contest on Friday as the 'Roos head down the road to Irving to take on the University of Dallas at 5:30 p.m. The 'Roos will then return home on Saturday, where they'll host Howard Payne at 6:00 p.m. in Hughey Gym.

The men's and women's swim teams will be home on Saturday as well, hosting a double dual with McMurry and UT-Permian Basin coming to Hannah Natatorium, with competition beginning at 1:00 p.m.
