Hofeldt, a sophomore from McKinney, recently earned recognition from the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference for her service work as a recipient of the Character & Community Award. Hofeldt, a member of Austin College's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, has long been active in community service and leadership roles both at Austin College and going back to her time at McKinney Boyd, including volunteering at Sherman's Grand Central Station food pantry alongside her doubles partner, Ashlyn Alexander, as well as serving as an Austin College ACtivator. Prior to attending Austin College, she was a prominent member and Chapter President of the National Charity League, a mother-daughter organization focused on philanthropic service. During her time with NCL, Lauren spent countless hours working alongside her mother for Meals on Wheels, packaging and delivering food to individuals facing financial hardship or physical limitations. As Chapter President, she mentored younger members, guiding them in faith, leadership, and a sustained commitment to helping others.
