79 'Roos Named to SCAC Winter and Spring Academic Honor Rolls

SUWANEE, Ga. - Austin College athletics was well represented on the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference winter and spring Academic Honor Rolls, with 33 winter student-athletes earning recognition while 46 spring athletes were honored for their academic achievements.

To qualify, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade-point average of 3.25 for the term and be a regular member of a varsity athletic team in a sport sponsored by the conference.

Among those who earned Academic Honor Roll recognition for the winter were men's basketball players Austin Haley, Jordan Hudgins, Jacob Jackson, Jamien June, Tasshir Pina-Warren, Aiden Schnurr, and Wesley Westbrooks. Women's basketball players who earned this academic honor included Maya Arzamendi, Makayla Beckett, Saleigh Berry, Maya Dodson, Kate Fletcher, Julianna Giles, Kaylee Lewis, Lexi Martin, Brooklyn Matthews, Avory Miller, Grace Moothart, Emma Potts, Ester Sabet, Kaylee Smith, Taiyla Williams, and Trinity Williams.

'Roo swimming was represented on the men's side by Owen Altermatt, JonAustin Blaine, Flyn Hughes, Matthew Leeworthy, and Timothy Smith, while women's swimmers Mikayla Arizmendi, Lola Barcus-Schafer, Reese Richmond, Izzy Schultze, and Sophia Smith also earned Academic Honor Roll accolades.

For spring Academic Honor Roll, the 'Roos were represented in baseball by Gavin Brady, Jonas CeBallos, Jonathan Cook, Adan Escalante, Andrew Goodman, Robby Hernandez, Leo Hohman, Colten Millsap, Jordan Odom, Cade Rabal, Shelton Rhoades, Nick Rolfi, Blake Skipworth, Desmond Squalls, Caleb Staggs, Kaden Stegent, Tanner Steubing, Brady Swords, Tripp Thoms, Mathew Todd, Brayden Topkins, Kole Townsend, and Easton Wilkinson.

Softball players Emily Autrey, Ashlynn Brothers, Faith Butler, Tessa Contreras, Cheyenne Fields, Genesis Forman, Tori Fowler, McKinley Hankins, Jillian Kelly, Piper Lindlau, Deana Martinez, Madison McGowan, Jadyn Myers, Brooke Staton, and Lauren Trott were Academic Honor Roll members, as were men's tennis players Cameron McIver, Timothy Wallace, and Jace Warner, along with women's tennis players Ashlyn Alexander, Emma Davidson, Elizabeth Mojica, Abby Sadler, and Lauren Walker.
