Mitchell Camp, Men's Soccer
Mitchell Camp is Austin College's fall recipient of the SCAC Character and Community Award.
Mitchell Camp, a sophomore goalkeeper on the 'Roos men's
soccer team who hails from Garland, Texas, has been an active
member of the Sherman community since arriving at Austin College in
2011, and is the school's fall recipient of the SCAC's Character
and Community Award.
Camp is a member of the Alpha Phi Omega service
fraternity, and has participated in numerous service projects
around both Austin College and Grayson County. He has helped
to organize the annual ’Roo Boo, a Halloween event for local
children, as well as the Loose Wheel’s Haunted Trail, another
event for the youth in Grayson County.
Camp has also participated in highway trash pick ups
and organized events with Austin College for donations to the
Global Medical Brigade, an organization that provides medical care
to underprivileged citizens in Honduras. He has also volunteered
with the Boys and Girls Club of Sherman and worked as a
tutor.
