Nathan Packard, Class of '14
Former 'Roo football standout Nathan Packard is working with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Nathan Packard, a former All-SCAC linebacker for the 'Roo football team, has been working with the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League since January of this year.
Packard began his work with the Chiefs as an intern in the team's Sports Lab, and since July has been working in the Kansas City equipment room throughout the NFL preseason.
Packard, who was also named to the National Football Foundation's prestigious Hampshire Honor Society as a senior, was also Austin College's winner of the Pete Cawthon Award as the most outstanding male student-athlete. Over the course of his time at Austin College, he was also a member of the Dean's List, named to the SCAC Academic Honor Roll, the recipient of the football team's William B. Traylor Award, and was selected by USA College Football as a Division III All-American last season.
