Vickery Named SCAC Special Teams Player of the Week

SUWANEE, Ga. - Austin College punter Kellen Vickery, a junior from Dripping Springs, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Football Special Teams Player-of-the-Week for games played Thursday, September 4 and Saturday, September 6.

SUWANEE, Ga. - Austin College punter Kellen Vickery, a senior from Dripping Springs, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Football Special Teams Player-of-the-Week for games played Thursday, September 4 and Saturday, September 6.

Vickery was stellar in the punting game on Saturday in Austin College's season opener against Kalamazoo, averaging 38.3 yards per punt while pinning three of his four punts inside the opponent's 20, with a long of 50 yards. This is the first SCAC Player of the Week honor for Vickery, who is in his second season as the team's starting punter after converting from the wide receiver position.
