Balderas Named SCAC Special Teams Player of the Week

SUWANEE, Ga. - Austin College football player Caleb Balderas has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Special Teams Player of the Week following an outstanding performance in a road win at Centenary, the league office has announced.

Balderas, a senior kicker from Azle, was perfect in the kicking game as the 'Roos came from behind to down the Gents 20-10 in Shreveport. Balderas made both of his point after attempts, and drilled both field goal attempts for the 'Roos. His long field goal on the day was 29 yards, and he also connected from 24 yards out to help the 'Roos to the victory. For the year, Balderas is 7-of-9 on field goal attempts and 19-of-19 on extra points.
