SHERMAN, Texas - The Austin College men's basketball team was one of four Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference teams to earn the National Association of Basketball Coacehs Team Excellence Award, and Aiden Schnurr, Jacob Jackson, and Jordan Hudgins have earned individual recognition on the NABC Honors Court for their outstanding work in the classroom during the 2024-25 academic year.
These awards recognize outstanding academic achievement by a team with a cumulative grade-point-average of 3.0 or better. In order to earn a NABC Team Academic Excellence Award, institutions in the NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA must count the grade-point-averages of all men's basketball student-athletes who competed during the 2024-25 season.
Individually, the NABC Honors Court recognizes junior, senior and graduate student men's basketball players who finished the 2024-25 year with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher. Schnurr, Jackson, and Hudgins, who were all juniors this past year, were named to the Honors Court with Schnurr and Jackson posting strong marks as business administration majors while Hudgins, who was also recently named as a College Sports Communicators Academic All-District selection, has a major in psychology.
