June made 6-of-9 shots from the floor and went 9-of-11 at the free-throw line to lead the offense. Kidus Getenet chipped in 13 points and six rebounds while playing a team-high 38 minutes. Ryan Dupre added nine points, five boards, and three blocked shots, and Tasshir Pina-Warren finished with four points, a team-best five assists, and three steals. Austin College opened the scoring with a three-pointer from Peyton Gonzales, but the teams traded baskets through the first six minutes with the game tied at 12-12. The Tigers closed the half strong, taking a 40-27 lead into the break after shooting 41.2% in the opening period.
Colorado College maintained its double-digit advantage throughout the second half, leading by as many as 22 points late in the game. The Tigers shot 50% from the field in the second half to secure the victory. Asher Nofziger and Ty Hendler each scored 18 points to pace Colorado College, with Nofziger adding nine rebounds. Orion Samikoglu came off the bench to score 16 points, hitting 3-of-6 from three-point range. Kyle Kihlberg led all players with 13 rebounds for the Tigers.
Colorado College held a 43-37 rebounding edge and outscored Austin College 44-30 in the paint. Turnovers proved costly for the 'Roos, as the Tigers converted 21 Austin College turnovers into 29 points. Austin College shot 38.3% from the field for the game compared to 45.7% for Colorado College.
