Men's Hoops Season Ends with Last Second Heartbreaker

The 'Roos finish the season with an overall record of 10-16.
Austin College held a 41-30 lead at the halftime break and maintained an advantage through much of the second half, including pushing the lead to 51-39 at the first media timeout. However, the Tornados began chipping away at the margin, finally pulling even at 59-59 with 7:34 left to play.
Kidus Getenet led the 'Roos with 22 points and 10 rebounds, while Jamien June added 19 points and six boards. Tasshir Pina-Warren also finished in double figures for Austin College with 18 points. Ethan Pearce provided a massive defensive presence for the 'Roos, pulling down 14 rebounds and recording six blocked shots in the contest.
The game remained tight until the final seconds, featuring nine ties and six lead changes. With the score tied at 71-71 following a pair of missed opportunities by the 'Roos in the final minute, Concordia's Jeffrey Kirven drained a three-pointer off the glass as time expired to secure the win for the Tornados.
Kirven finished with 10 points for Concordia, while Aaron San Miguel scored 13 to lead a balanced attack. Darone Leakes scored 11 points off the bench and Joey Ramirez added 10.
