Three From Men's Hoops Earn NABC Honors Court Recognition

SHERMAN, Texas - The Austin College men's basketball team saw three of its members recognized on the National Association of Basketball Coaches Honors Court, as seniors Aiden Schnurr, Jacob Jackson, and Jordan Hudgins repeated as honorees for their outstanding work in the classroom during the 2025-26 academic year. All three student-athletes also earned this accolade last year.

Individually, the NABC Honors Court recognizes junior, senior, and graduate student men's basketball players who finished the 2025-26 year with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher. Schnurr, Jackson, and Hudgins were among 27 men's basketball players in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference to receive this award. Schnurr and Jackson both graduated this spring with degrees in business administration, and Hudgins, who was named Austin College's male Bo Miller Award winner as the senior male student-athlete with the highest GPA, graduated with a degree in psychology.

The NABC Honors Court recognizes the talents and gifts that these men possess off the court and the hard work they exhibit in the classroom.

In order to be named to the Honors Court, a student-athlete must meet a high standard of academic criteria. The qualifications are as follows:

1. Academically a junior, senior or graduate student and a varsity player.
2. Cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the 2025-26 academic year.
3. Students must have matriculated at least one year at their current institution.
4. Member of a NCAA Division I, II, III, or NAIA Division I or II institution with a NABC member coach.
