Austin College is now 1-4-2 overall and 0-1-1 in conference play.
It was a contest played primarily in the central third throughout the match, with neither team managing to muster much of an offensive attack for the full 90 minutes, particularly in the second half. Concordia fired eight shots in the opening half but only had two on target, while the 'Roos had five first half shots with one on goal. The game was scoreless until the 43:05 mark, when Bryan Rios took a free kick from just outside the box and curled it inside the right post to put Concordia on top 1-0 at the break.
Both teams clamped down defensively even more after halftime, with Austin College held without a shot while the Tornados managed just four attempts. Neither side had a shot on goal after halftime, leaving Patrick Bassett with one save for the 'Roos while Leonel Cuellar had one stop for CTX.
