Men's Soccer to Celebrate 50th Anniversary on Friday

SHERMAN, Texas - This season is an historic one for the Austin College men's soccer program, as the team celebrates its 50th anniversary as part of the College's Homecoming festivities, including recognition at the 'Roo men's soccer team's home game on Friday night as well as a reception on Saturday.

Austin College plays Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference-leading Colorado College in a big-time matchup at 8:00 p.m. at the Dr. Jack R. Pierce Memorial Soccer Complex, and at halftime of the game, 'Roo men's soccer alums and former coaches will be recognized for their contributions to growing the program what it's become today. The celebration continues into Saturday morning with the Alumni Men's Soccer Match at 9:00 a.m., and at 4:00 p.m. that afternoon, there will be a soccer alumni reception in the Pouch Club.

The 'Roos will also be on the pitch on Sunday for another SCAC contest, this time against the University of Dallas at 2:00 p.m.
