Wear Named SCAC Offensive Player of the Week

SUWANEE, Ga. - Austin College men's soccer player Pierce Wear has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week following an outstanding weekend against Colorado College and the University of Dallas, the league office has announced.

Wear, a senior midfielder from North Richland Hills, had a huge weekend for Austin College as the 'Roos went 1-0-1, including a 1-1 draw with conference-leading Colorado College and tallying the game winner in a 2-0 win against Dallas. He scored on his lone shot attempt against the Tigers and fired off eight more attempts in the victory over the Crusaders. Wear and Austin College have already secured four wins in SCAC play to this point in the season, matching the most conference wins in any season since winning six in the 2018 campaign. Wear is now seventh in the SCAC with 26 shots on the year.
