Six From 'Roo Men's Soccer Named All-SCAC
ROUND ROCK, Texas - Four members of the Austin College men's soccer team earned second team All-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference recognition and two more 'Roos were named honorable mention for their outstanding performances during the 2025 campaign, the league office has announced.
ROUND ROCK, Texas - Four members of the Austin College men's soccer team earned second team All-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference recognition and two more 'Roos were named honorable mention for their outstanding performances during the 2025 campaign, the league office has announced.
Pierce Wear, a senior midfielder from North Richland Hills, was a second team All-SCAC selection after finishing the year with three goals, including a pair of game-winners, and wraps up his Austin College career with 20 goals and 11 assists for a total of 51 career points. This is the third straight All-Conference accolade for Wear, who was also an All-Freshman Team member in 2022.
Max Mundorff, a senior forward from Huntsville, was also a second team All-SCAC pick after finishing the 2025 campaign second on the team with four goals, adding three assists to end the year with 11 total points, good for second on the team. Mundorff earned SCAC Offensive Player of the Week honors once this season.
Marco Guzman, a sophomore midfielder from Keller, is another second team All-Conference selection for Austin College after ending the regular season with two goals and three assists, for a total of seven points on the year. Last year, Guzman was an honorable mention pick as well as being named to the All-Freshman Team.
Jesse Contreras, a first-year defender from Melissa, rounds out the second team All-SCAC members from Austin College, capping off an outstanding first collegiate season by being one of only two frist-year defenders to be named either first or second team All-Conference. Contreras started every game this season for the 'Roos.
Sam Spencer, a senior defender from Heath, was named honorable mention All-Conference after ending the season with a goal and three assists. Those three helpers tie him for the most on the team during the 2025 regular season. This is the second year in a row that Spencer has earned All-SCAC accolades.
Bassett, a first-year goalkeeper from San Antonio, was an honorable mention All-SCAC pick as well following a debut season in which he finished in the top five in the conference in goals-against-average, goals allowed, and save percentage. Bassett started 12 games the regular season, ending the year with five clean sheets.
