Austin College Battles Through To 6-3 Victory Over Concordia

AUSTIN, Tex. - The Men's Tennis Team of Austin College came up huge in a 6-3 win over the Tornados of Concordia University.

Calum Robe and Preston Spivey returned to form with an 8-1 victory at line 3 to draw the first point for AC.  Erik Meendsen and Josh Granberry took the second line 8-3 and Siddharth Kortikere teamed with Andres Padilla for a big line 1 victory.

From there, the 'Roos would play 3 super-tiebreakers, with two going "extra-innings."  Rahman would fall 6-7 (7-9), 6-4, 1-0 (10-7) at line 3, but Preston Spivey would take line 4 6-4, 4-6, 1-0 (12-10).  Bryan Walmsley fell at Line 6 6-2, 6-4, and Travis Fortune dropped an incredibly close line 5 match, 6-3, 3-6, 1-0 (15-13).
