'Roo Men Top Ozarks
SHERMAN, Texas - The Austin College men's tennis team picked up a 5-4 victory over the visiting University of Ozarks on Friday evening, bringing the 'Roos to 2-2 overall this season.

SHERMAN, Texas - The Austin College men's tennis team picked up a 5-4 victory over the visiting University of Ozarks on Friday evening, bringing the 'Roos to 2-2 overall this season.
The 'Roos fell in two of three doubles matches, with the team of Brett O'Brien and Preston Spivey earning an 8-1 win on line one, but the 'Roos bounced back and won four of six singles matches to edge out the Eagles. O'Brien was dominant at flight one singles, picking up a 6-0, 6-1 victory while Spivey also won convincingly with scores of 6-2, 6-0. Matthew Cochran dropped a tough line three match and William Dixon fell on line six, but Joseph Carrillo took a 6-3, 6-3 win playing flight four and Storm Simonin helped secure the victory with a 6-2, 7-6 win on line five.
Austin College is back in action on Saturday morning when they take on Mary Hardin-Baylor at 9:00 a.m.
