Brooklyn Matthews dominated the glass for Austin College, pulling down a game-high 14 rebounds - including seven on the offensive end - while adding six points. Avory Miller contributed an all-around performance with nine points, four rebounds, four steals, and two blocks. Sallie Moser led LeTourneau with 15 points, shooting 4-of-8 from beyond the arc.
Austin College held a slim 33-27 advantage at halftime after a tightly contested first half. LeTourneau had cut the deficit to one point late in the second quarter following a three-pointer by Robbi Martinez with 1:25 remaining, but the 'Roos closed the half with a quick 5-0 run, capped by an Amarys Cuellar layup just before the buzzer.
The 'Roos seized control in the third quarter. After trading baskets early, Austin College mounted a run midway through the frame. Kaylee Smith converted a fast-break layup at the 3:52 mark to give the 'Roos their largest lead of the quarter at 46-29. LeTourneau attempted to rally behind perimeter shooting from Moser, who hit back-to-back triples late in the third, but a trey from Maya Dodson with 1:41 left in the period stifled the momentum, putting Austin College up 52-38.
The 'Roos maintained a double-digit cushion throughout the fourth quarter, and a jumper by Cuellar at the 8:18 mark extended the lead to 16 points. LeTourneau managed to trim the deficit late, capping the scoring with a buzzer-beating three-pointer by Kylie Weeks, but never threatened the lead down the stretch. Austin College forced 20 turnovers in the contest, converting them into 19 points. The 'Roos also controlled the interior, outscoring the YellowJackets 32-20 in the paint. For LeTourneau, Kaylin Cervantes finished with nine points, five rebounds, and three steals off the bench. Martinez added eight points and five rebounds.
