Five From Women's Hoops Earn All-SCAC
CONWAY, Ark. - Avory Miller and Brooklyn Matthews were named third team All-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference and Lexi Martin, Trinity Williams, and Maya Dodson were honorable mention selections, the league office announced on Saturday evening at the SCAC Women's Basketball Championships.

Miller, a junior guard from McKinney, finished the regular season with averages of 9.6 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 2.0 steals-per-game to earn her spot on the third team. Miller had a career-best season for the 'Roos, and was named the conference's Defensive Player of the Week once.
Matthews, a senior forward from Conroe, joined Miller on the third team following a regular season in whcih she was named both the SCAC Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week. Matthews averaged 8.2 points. 6.4 rebounds, 1.1 assists, and 1.0 blocks while shooting a career and conference-best 57.7% from the field.
Martin, a junior guard from Sanger, was named honorable mention after finishing the regular season as Austin College's top scorer at 10.3 points-per-game, knocking down a career-high 33.1% from long range and 81.6% from the free throw line. She also averaged 2.5 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.0 steals.
Williams, a senior forward from Howe, had the best season of her 'Roo career on her way to honorable mention accolades, posting career-highs with 8.5 points and 5.0 rebounds-per-game, while also finishing among the conference leaders by knocking down 35.4% of her three point attempts.
Dodson, a sophomore guard from Durant, Okla., rounds out the All-SCAC picks as an honorable mention selection following a regular season in which she averaged 6.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.0 steals-per-game while hitting 32.4% from three point range as an offensive spark off the bench.
