After dropping their last four matches, the Austin College women's soccer team responded in a big way with a dominant 4-0 road victory over Centenary College on Sunday, getting goals from four different players en route to bringing their record to 5-4 overall this season.
Austin College got on the board early when Mandi Sherwood found Ashley Rice on a cross, and Rice put it away in the 11th minute of action. The lead grew to 2-0 in the 27th minute when Erin Eckart tallied her second goal of the season. The 'Roos scored twice more in the second half, with Sherwood scoring in the 84th minute on a feed from Cami Mavelian, and Tyler Marquez finished things off with a score in the 89th minute of action.
Austin College held a 19-6 shot advantage in the game, and Franchesca Lozoya made four saves to earn her third shutout of the season.
