Smith Named SCAC Swimmer of the Week

SUWANEE, Ga. - Austin College women's swimmer Sophia Smith has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Swimmer of the Week following an outstanding weekend at the Hendrix Relays and Hendrix Classic, the league office has announced. 

Smith, a first-year from Plano, posted the second fastest time in the SCAC this year in the 200 individual medley at the Hendrix Classic on Saturday, hitting the wall in 2:23.15 to capture gold. She also had an event win in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:24.44, the third fastest time in the conference to date.
