MARSHALL, Tex. - The Austin College Women's Tennis Team fell 9-0 at the hands of the Tigers of East Texas Baptist University.
The 'Roos fell behind early on all three doubles courts, compiling a total of 6 games amongst the three matches.
Singles was significantly more competitive, but resulted in much of the same scores that doubles provided. Anna Sergiovanni had the match of the afternoon with the #18 player in the ITA West Region, forcing a tiebreaker in the first set, and ultimately falling 7-6(3), 6-4 when the final ball bounced twice.
Grace Ortiz had a great fight on court 4, falling to a talented veteran 6-4, 6-4 in what was her first loss of this 2017 Spring Season in singles.
Austin College will play on the campus of the University of Texas at Tyler on Sunday morning at 10:00 AM against Millsaps College.
