Austin College Sweeps Centenary
SHERMAN, Texas - The Austin College volleyball team cruised past visiting Centenary College with a 3-0 sweep on Friday night in Hughey Gym, lifting the team's overall record to 11-6 on the year with a 5-2 mark in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference competition.

Austin College dominated in the first set with a 25-11 win, before taking set two 25-19 and closing things out with a 25-22 third set clincher. Austin College hit .216 as a team, compared to -.013 for the Ladies, who had 22 attacking errors, 11 service errors, and 11 reception errors. Rachel Sadler led a balanced offensive attack for the 'Roos with eight kills and a .375 hitting percentage, and Victoria Larson and Selah Coleman each added four kills. Coleman added two aces, three digs, and two block assists. Madisin Hartsfield chipped in three kills and five total blocks, including two solos, while Ashby McCracken had a team-best 10 assists while adding four digs. Laynie Kovacs led the 'Roos with six digs in a victory that saw 22 'Roos see action.
Austin College will be hoping to add another one in the win column tomorrow afternoon when they host LeTourneau University at 1:00 p.m.
