'Roo Volleyball Drops SCAC Match to LeTourneau
SHERMAN, Texas - The Austin College volleyball team hosted Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference foe LeTourneau University on Saturday, with the YellowJackets handing the 'Roos a 3-1 defeat in Hughey Gymnasium as the two teams continue to jockey for position in the SCAC Tournament picture. Austin College is now 11-7 overall and tied with LeTourneau at 5-3 in conference play.

Austin College is now 11-7 overall and tied with LeTourneau at 5-3 in conference play.
The 'Roos took the opening set 25-19 and led early in the next three sets, but each time the Jackets rallied to pick up wins in three straight, emerging with victories of 25-21, 25-20, 25-21. Austin College hit just .105 as a team and had 29 attacking errors as well as 10 reception errors and 10 service errors in the match.
Madisin Hartsfield led Austin College with 13 kills and a .440 attacking percentage, adding a pair of blocks in defeat, and Selah Coleman chipped in 12 kills and 13 digs. Samantha Graham had seven kills for the 'Roos and Rachel Sadler added six kills with 11 digs and three aces. Madison Manning paced the 'Roos with 19 assists while adding 10 digs, and Katie Riemer chipped in 15 assists. Laynie Kocacs led Austin College defensively with 23 digs, adding five assists and a pair of aces.
