Three From 'Roo Volleyball Named All-SCAC
SUWANEE, Ga. - Austin College volleyball players Laynie Kovacs, Madisin Hartsfield, and Samantha Graham have been named All-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference performers for their outstanding play during the 2025 campaign, the league office has announced.
SUWANEE, Ga. - Austin College volleyball players Laynie Kovacs, Madisin Hartsfield, and Samantha Graham have been named All-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference performers for their outstanding play during the 2025 campaign, the league office has announced.
Kovacs, a junior libero from McKinney, was a first team All-SCAC selection after finishing the regular season among the conference leaders in total digs, digs-per-set, and service aces, and was twice named the SCAC Defensive Player of the Week during the year. Kovacs had 582 digs for an average of 5.34 per set, while also finishing the regular season with 65 aces. Kovacs also averaged 1.32 assists-per-set this year.
Hartsfield, a first-year middle blocker from Sherman, was a second team All-SCAC selection after leading the conference in total blocks, block assists, solo blocks, and blocks-per-set. She was named the SCAC Defensive Player of the Week once this season, and finished the regular season with an average of 1.64 kills-per-set with a .268 hitting perctage, along with 40 block solos, 115 total blocks, and an average of 1.13 blocks-per-set.
Graham, a senior outside hitter from Sherman, was an honorable mention All-Conference pick after posting an average of 1.98 kills-per-set, ranking her third on the team, with 202 kills while adding 59 digs and 44 total blocks. Graham averaged 0.43 blocks-per-set, and also had 11 assists on the year.
