Women's Water Polo Splits with Grove City and Augustana

Joslyn Dimitri continued her recent torrid scoring stretch with four more goals in the win over Grove City, as Austin College got out to a 4-2 lead after the opening period and built the margin to 9-4 at halftime. Bianca Gallegos and Camila Diarte each scored twice in the second quarter to help extend the lead, which continued to widen with a dominant 4-1 third quarter to make it 13-5 heading into the final frame.
Austin College stayed in full control through the fourth quarter, with Dimitri, Connie Garcia, and Caroline Armstrong each tallying as the 'Roos outscored Grove City for the fourth time in four quarters on their way to the 16-7 win. Gallegos and Diarte finished with three goals each, and Sophia King scored twice. Along with Garcia and Armstrong, Morgan Evans and Mikayla Arizmendi both found the back of the cage twice.
In the second game of the day against Augustana, the 'Roos were limited to just one goal in each of the first two quarters as they fell behind 5-1 after one and trailed 7-2 at halftime. Austin College had its top scoring quarter of the game in the third, finding the net twice with Dimitri scoring twice, but it wasn't enough to overcome the gap as they trailed 9-4 leading into the final quarter. Dimitri finished with three of the team's five goals, with Gallegos and Diarte each scoring once.
