'Roo Women Draw with Warriors
CONWAY, Ark. - The Austin College women's soccer team held a one goal lead for most of Friday evening's road match at Hendrix College, but the Warriors tallied late to end the game in a 1-1 draw. The 'Roos are now 6-4-3 overall and 3-3-2 in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play.

CONWAY, Ark. - The Austin College women's soccer team held a one goal lead for most of Friday evening's road match at Hendrix College, but the Warriors tallied late to end the game in a 1-1 draw. The 'Roos are now 6-4-3 overall and 3-3-2 in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play.
Austin College struck first when Emeri Watson found the back of the net for the fourth time this season, lacing a shot past Hendrix keeper Kennedy Lewis at the 18:59 mark in the opening half. The rest of the frame was evenly played, with the 'Roos taking four first half shots while the Warriors attempted five. All four efforts by the 'Roos were on target in the game's first 45 minutes.
Hendrix picked up the urgency in the second half, however, outshooting the 'Roos 8-2 in the frame. Kieran McFarland made four of her five saves after halftime to help Austin College maintain its narrow lead, but the Warriors broke through in the 79th minute of action, getting the equalizer from Hannah Scarrow to make it 1-1, and that's how things would end.
Austin College plays its final regular season road match on Sunday, as the 'Roos will stay in Arkansas to take on the University of the Ozarks at noon.
