Coughennower Named SCAC Hitter of the Week
Austin College baseball player Josh Coughennower has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Baseball Hitter of the Week, the league office has announced.
Austin College baseball player Josh Coughennower has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Baseball Hitter of the Week, the league office has announced.
Coughennower, a sophomore second baseman from The Colony, led the 'Roos to a 2-1 record last week including a victory over SCAC opponent Southwestern University. Coughennower batted .556 (5-for-9) with a double, a stolen base, three walks, four runs scored, and four runs batted in over the course of the team's three games. Coughennower reach based in all three games.
Coughennower's week was highlighted by a 4-for-4 performance in a 16-15 victory over Howard Payne.
Austin College athletic teams participate as a member of the NCAA Division III and the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference.
