Michael Named SCAC Player of the Week
Austin College men’s basketball player Alen Michael has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Week, the league office has announced.

Michael, a senior forward from Mesquite, hit 5-of-7 shots from the field on his way to scoring 18 points, grabbing 12 rebounds, blocking five shots, and handing out a pair of assists as the 'Roos rolled to a 91-78 win over Centenary in their only game of the week. Six of his rebounds came on the offensive glass.
So far this season Michael is 12th in the league in scoring with 9.4 points per game, second in rebounding at 7.0 boards per game, and leads the SCAC with 1.3 blocked shots per game.
Austin College athletic teams participate as a member of the NCAA Division III and the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference.
