In game one the 'Roos trailed 2-0 heading into the fifth, but a six run inning by LeTourneau made it an 8-0 final after the run rule was invoked after five full innings. Briana Hernandez went 2-for-2 in the loss and Mallory Rossman and Taylor Steelman each had a hit, while Sam Matulis suffered the loss after surrendering seven runs, only three earned, on eight hits in 4.2 innings of work.
In game two, the Jackets scored four runs in the bottom of the first and the 'Roos were unable to get anything going offensively, managing just two hits in the game. LeTourneau added a run in the fourth to give them the 5-0 final margin. Jenny Dowsey and Sophia Hernandez had the two hits for the 'Roos while Hernandez also took the loss after giving up five runs on nine hits in 6.0 innings pitched.
The 'Roos play again tomorrow when they travel to East Texas Baptist for another doubleheader.
