The Austin College softball team dropped both of its games against Hendrix and Washington University on Saturday, falling 2-0 to the Warriors and 7-1 to Washington.
Against Hendrix, the 'Roos were limited to three hits and the only two runs of the game came in the second inning, with only one of those runs being earned. Sam Matulis had a strong performance in 4.0 innings of work, giving up two runs on six hits in taking the loss. Sophia Hernandez came on to pitch 2.0 scoreless, one hit innings of relief.
In the game against Washington, a five run fourth blew open what had been a 1-1 game and gave the 'Roos the loss. Amber Pemberton went the distance for the 'Roos, surrendering seven runs on 12 hits to take the loss. Hernandez and Chelsea Delaney each went 2-for-4 in the game and Charlotte Trudell scored the team's lone run.
